Helen Lucille Bowers Flick, 89, of Chicora Road, Butler, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Saturday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Brent, Lawrence County, Jan. 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William Bowers and Mary Knight Bowers.

Mrs. Flick was married to Harry R. Flick on Oct. 31, 1936. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1999.

In her early years, Helen worked at the egg auction in East Butler, and in her later years, she worked on the bottling line at Penn Champ from where she retired.

She was a member of the Butler Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by two sons, William Flick and his wife, Diana, and James Flick, both of Butler; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Davis and her husband, Harold, of Butler; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Sharp; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister and eight brothers.

<B>FLICK </B>— Friends and family of Helen Lucille Bowers Flick, who died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.</B>, Butler. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Kelly of the Karns City Church of God of Prophecy officiating.
