David J. Harmon, 47, of Herman died Friday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 8, 1962, in Butler, he was the son of James L. and Mary P. (Madden) Harmon.

David lived in many places during his lifetime including the Polk Residential Facility, the Robinson Development Center in Pittsburgh and the Life Steps homes in Worthington, Kittanning, Midway and Herman.

He was known as a sweet person who loved to hold hands with his caregivers. He loved all types of music, particularly country music

David's family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thank all the people who served as caregivers for him and made his life special.

He was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend.

Surviving are his mother, Mary P. Harmon of Bradys Bend; four brothers, Laurence Harmon and his wife, Steffi Domike, of Pittsburgh, Christopher Harmon and his wife, Peg, of Tucson, Ariz., Mark Harmon and his wife, Becky, of Lancaster, S.C., and Matthew Harmon and his wife, Pamela, of Tucson, Ariz.; four sisters, Eileen Hout and her husband, Michael, of Oakland, Calif., Virginia Harmon and her husband, Robert Pfahler, of Fenelton, Sarah Grove and her husband, John, of Tucson, Ariz., Bert Skye of Tucson; and a brother-in-law, Jody Schnur of Herman. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Harmon; and a sister, Joan Schnur.

<B>HARMON</B> — Visitation for David J. Harmon, who died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.
