Mary Conklin
Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Conklin, 85, of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler, formerly of Unionville Road, Butler, died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Aug. 22, 1924, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late James Marsh Perry and Mary Kiger Perry Davis.
Mrs. Conklin was a homemaker and a licensed beautician. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Conklin loved bowling, traveling and dancing.
Mrs. Conklin is survived by her husband, John R. Conklin Jr., whom she married on June 22, 1942; four sons, Robert Conklin of Butler, James Conklin of Denver, William (Doug) Conklin of Butler and Mike Conklin of Butler. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, six cousins, and a number of nieces and nephews, many residing in the Waynesburg area. One brother-in-law, Joe Conklin of Waynesburg, two sisters-in-law, Pat Hrutkay of Coal Center, Pa., and Jane Conklin of Pittsburgh, also survive.
<B>Conklin</B> — There will be no public visitation for Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Conklin, who died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
