Debra I. Karns, 47, of 129 Browntown Road, Harrisville, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.

She was born in Mercer, Nov. 22, 1961, to James Earl and Nellie Irene Shaffer Karns of Harrisville.

She was a registered nurse and had attended Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Harrisville.

Besides her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Alyssa D. Karns of Harrisville; three sisters, Penny Reiber of Volant and Sandy Tebay and Barb Carr, both of Harrisville; and a brother, Dan Karns of Grove City.
