Charles Howard Fryman Jr., 92, formerly of Harrisville, died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Manor in Pine Township, Mercer County, where he lived since March.

Born in Grove City, July 20, 1917, he was the son of Charles Howard Fryman Sr. and Lydia McClintock Orr.

He married Margaret G. Thompson on July 19, 1939.

Mr. Fryman retired in 1982 from the former Maximon Machine Co., Pine Township, where he was a salesman for 27 years.

He was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church, and he was a Sunday school teacher for more than 60 years.

He enjoyed farming and camping.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret at home; a son, Richard W. Fryman and his wife, Mary Jane, of Slippery Rock; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn A. Baum of Harrisville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Stowe and her husband, James, of Parker and Joanne Campbell and her husband, Merle, of Harrisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles William Fryman, who died in 1994; a brother, Carl Fryman; and two sisters, Mary Williams and Jean Rostas.
