Ray F. Bhame

Ray F. Bhame, a longtime resident of Butler, who more recently lived in Hilliard, Ohio, died suddenly June 15 in Seattle, Wash., while traveling in the West.

Ray was born in Harmony, March 30, 1930. He was the son of Howard and Esther Bhame, Harmony.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois Potts of Harmony.

He is survived by siblings, Lee Bhame of Zelienople, Thomas Bhame of Coatesville, Pa., and Louise Lord and Carl Bhame of Sandy Springs, Ga.

When younger, Ray enjoyed singing in the choir at the Grace Church of Harmony and working with Youth for Christ. He also sang with the Tom North Quartet of Zelienople.

Ray served in the Special Forces of the 12th Infantry Regiment stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

<B>BHAME </B>— A memorial service for family and friends of Ray. F. Bhame, who died June 15, 2009, was held Oct. 30 at the Butler County Memorial Park. The service was officiated by Pastor Pete Everett of Grace Church.Grace Church and the Moody Bible Institute were named beneficiaries in Ray's will.
