At a recent gathering of the Pennsylvania International Order of Job's Daughters,

Rachel Rauschenberger, 9, and

Rebecca Rauschenberger, 10, of Butler presented their contribution to the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment (H.I.K.E.), the order's charity that provides hearing aids and other devices to hearing impaired children all over the world.They presented their check to Renee Daniels, Miss Congeniality of Pa., and Daughter H.I.K.E. Coordinator, and Douglas Harms, Grand Associate Bethel Guardian.Rachel and Rebecca are the daughters of Curt and Joyce Rauschenberger of Butler.

Both girls are members of the local Job's Daughters Bethel, Bethel No. 21.The girls opened a lemonade stand last summer with proceeds going to H.I.K.E. and presented a check in the amount of $337.55, the gross sales from their lemonade stand.Circle of Swords Gaming Guild, a Butler based role-playing gaming group the Rauschenbergers are involved with, also donated $1,453 to H.I.K.E.With other private donations collected by the girls, in total they contributed $2,000 to the state H.I.K.E. fund. This contribution is roughly a third of the total amount raised by all Job's Daughters across the state.

--------------------<B>Frank Marshall </B>of Butler has given free demonstration airplane rides to more than 100 young people as part of the Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagles program.The association launched the program in 1992 and has since flown more than 1.5 million young people.All pilots explain the safe operation of airplanes and principles of flight before the short trips. The program's goal is to allow young people to experience a positive activity and discover the world of aviation.
