Florence A. "Sis" Chambers, 97, of Bradford passed away on Monday at The Pavilion at BRMC.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1912, in Saxton, Pa., a daughter of the late Martin A. and Florence M. Hatter Shoffner.

She was a 1929 graduate of Parker High School, Parker.

On Aug. 31, 1934, in Cesna, Pa., she married Edwin H. Chambers in a ceremony conducted by the Rev. Earl Dobbs. Mr. Chambers preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1999.

She worked at the former Airco Speer Co., Bradford, for about 22 years until her retirement in 1974.

She is survived by one son, John "Jack" (Joyce) Chambers, Parker; one daughter, Florrie (Norman) Warfle, Bradford; two grandsons, Matthew Chambers and Timothy Chambers; three granddaughters, Denise McNeil, Cheryl Warfle and Shelby Young; one great-grandson, Justin Lee Baldwin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Hatter and John Shoffner; and three sisters, Elsie Whitmer, Jesse Texter and Genevieve Heeter.

<B>CHAMBERS</B> — Visitation for Florence A. "Sis" Chambers, who died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at <B>Mascho Funeral Home</B>, Bradford, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Homes</B>, Parker, and again from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at which time funeral services will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Wilbur Barber officiating.
