Judy K. Scheidemantle, 58, of 1193 Perry Highway, Portersville, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the UPMC Passavant hospital in North Hills.

Judy was born May 28, 1951, in Ellwood City to the late Laveren "Lou" Scheidemantle and Ruby Shidemantle McNichol of Portersville.

She graduated from Slippery Rock High School and then from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Judy was employed by the Slippery Rock University as a labor foreman for 18 years.

She was a member of the Portersville Presbyterian Church and the Pennsylvania State Employees Union.

Also, Judy enjoyed gardening and loved animals.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Ruby and Robert McNichol of Portersville; a daughter, Aislinn Kastelan of Littleton, Colo.; one sister, Cindy and Norman Giles of Harmony; and a brother, Martin Scheidemantle of Harmony.
