Jaloyn Fockler of Chicora poses with Santa during the Spirit of Christmas Parade in November 1975. Jaloyn, portraying Shirley Temple, rode on the first place float, "Heidi's Alpine Christmas," that year. Twelve marching units and 15 floats paraded by an estimated 20,000 spectators.
