EVANS CITY —The Evans City Chiefs of the Seneca Valley North Junior Football Association won the United Youth Football League Super Bowl for 11- and 12-year-olds Oct. 31, when they beat Mars Gold 21-6 to finish the season with a 9-1 record.
Members of the Chiefs include Matt Juliano, Brett Smithco, Cole Greedon, Isaac Mroch, Brandon Nulph, Zach Wilson, Adam Herb, Juston Kolarich, Garrett Schlick, Auston Kolarich, Tyler Lightcap, Mike Cacamo, Levi Vogel, Patrick O'Shea, Zach Cowell, Corbin Kessler, Jonathan Eullinger, Noah Bailey, Parker Minert, Will Vickerman, Cory Darrah, Andreas Bailey and Ben Bachik.
Mike DelDuca was the head coach, assisted by Justin Lynn, Jeff Lynn, Mike Marburger and Lee Mullett.
Butler County Bowling Association members Mike Coyle and Jim McCune placed high in the recently completed Pennsylvania State Bowlers Association Senior Tournament.Coyle placed fifth in all events, Class 5, handicapped and sixth in singles for his division.McCune placed sixth in all events, Class 3, handicapped and seventh in singles for that division.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have met with experienced quarterbacks Patrick Ramsey and Todd Bouman, a sign that injured backup Charlie Batch might be out longer than the team first expected.Batch broke his left wrist in Kansas City on Sunday, leaving second-year quarterback Dennis Dixon as the only backup to starter Ben Roethlisberger on the 53-man roster. Former Pitt quarterback Tyler Palko is on the practice squad.Batch had surgery on Wednesday and was expected to be out two to four weeks.Ramsey was cut by Tennessee last month. NEW YORK — The Who will perform at halftime of the Super Bowl this season.The NFL has announced that the longtime rock band known for classic hits such as "Pinball Wizard" and "Baba O'Riley" will play Feb. 7 at Dolphin Stadium in Miami.Driven by singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend, the band's two remaining original members, The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.Recent halftime acts at the Super Bowl have included Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince and the Rolling Stones.
