Porfirio B. Abulencia, 86, of 201 Jaminsonville Road, Butler, died at 8:28 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 15, 1923, in Calasiao-Pangasinan, Philippines, he was the son of the late Marcello Abulencia and Marie Bauzon Abulencia.

Mr. Abulencia worked for Magnetics in East Butler. He was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Abulencia is survived by his wife, Margaret M. (O'Hara) Abulencia; a daughter, Marie R. Abulencia of Florida; three sisters, and two brothers.

Mr. Abulencia was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

<B>ABULENCIA</B> — According to the wishes of Porfirio B. Abulencia, who died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, there will be no public visitation.A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Salberg of St. Andrew officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.Arrangements are by <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>.
