William H. Double

Double

William H. "Bill" Double, 81, of West Sunbury passed away at 9:51 a.m. Monday at his residence.

He was born April 19, 1928, in Clay Township. He was the son of the late Hoyt R. Double and Viola Jane Christley Double.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1950 to 1952.

He owned and operated W.H. Double Trucking from 1953 to 1977.

He enjoyed camping, traveling and riding his motorcycle.

He was Lutheran by faith.

He was a member of American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Myron (Diane) Greenert of North Washington, Edwina Double and John Kuhn of Chicora, Mrs. Greg (Connie A.) Ice of West Sunbury and Mrs. David (Lori) Baxter of Butler; a son, Randall W. Double of West Sunbury; six grandchildren, Mrs. Justin (Kristen) Porter, Erik Greenert, Kristoffer Greenert, Travis Ice, Kara Baxter and Shane Baxter; and two brothers, Raymond D. Double of Boyers and Donald L. Double of East Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jane Lamoreaux Double, who passed away Sept. 26, 2005; one sister; and one brother.

<B>DOUBLE </B>— Private services and burial will be held for William H. "Bill" Double, who died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009. Arrangements are being handled by <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, West Sunbury.
