June Irene Kish Corbett, 87, of Saxonburg passed away Friday at the Saxony Health Center after a lengthy illness.

Born Dec. 28, 1921, in Brownsville, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Judith Toth Kish.

During World War II, she was one of the "Rosie the Riveters" in Detroit, and a police woman at Allegheny Ludlum. She worked at the Hotel Saxonburg for 25 years.

She loved baseball and football, especially the Steelers, the Pirates and wrestling. She loved cooking and shared her favorite Hungarian recipes that came from her family.

She is survived by three children, her son, William E. (Kish)

Stewart and his wife, Kim, of St. Marys; her daughter, Susan (George) Latkey and her son, Charles (Carol) Corbett, both of Saxonburg; five grandsons; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and a great-granddaughter. She also is survived by her sisters-in-law, Jan Carnahan Kish and Maxine Davis Kish, both of Natrona Heights; and a number of nieces and nephews.June was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clarence Corbett, who died Aug. 3, 1970; her brothers, Gabriel, Elmer, Frank and Steven; and her sisters, Mary and Elizabeth.

<B>CORBETT </B>— Friends of June Irene Kish Corbett, who died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger G. Keller officiating.
