Jones

Corey Robert Jones of Brady Township, Slippery Rock, died Wednesday in Butler County.

Born Dec. 27, 1990, he was the son of Kathy J. McKee and the late Robert J. Jones.

He was a senior at Slippery Rock High School and attended the Butler Vo-Tech.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and snowboarding.

He formerly worked at RJ Jones Landscape Supply, Slippery Rock. This company was owned and operated by his father, Robert J. Jones, who passed away Oct. 7, 2007. He also had worked for Eisler Landscaping in Prospect.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving are his mother, Kathy J. McCandless-McKee of Slippery Rock; two sisters, Noelle L. Northrup and her husband, Aaron, of Clearwater, Fla., and Bobbi-Sue Jones of Slippery Rock; his maternal grandparents, Darrell and Norene McCandless of Butler; his paternal grandmother, Karen Cooper of St. Cloud, Fla.; his paternal grandfather, R. Jack Jones of Slippery Rock; great-grandfather, Grady Cooper of St. Cloud, Fla., and Slippery Rock; and great-grandparents, Mabel and Russell Hogue of Slippery Rock Also surviving are a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Helen L. Magee Cooper.
