A. Dean Busatto, 70, formerly of Centerville Pike, Slippery Rock, for the past 21 years, now of 816 Kocher Drive, Grove City, died at 5 a.m. Saturday at his home after an 18-month illness.

Born Dec. 11, 1938, in Freeport, he was the son of Max Frederick and Fay Shuster Busatto.

He retired in 2006 from Armstrong Cable Co. after 42 years of service as vice president of operations.

He was a member of Emanuel Christian Church, Stoneboro.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years from 1955 to 1959.

Dean helped with the origination of the American Heart Association Telethon of Fayette County and participated and helped with it for many years.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, golfing quad riding and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Mae Reichard at home; two children, Daniel H. Busatto and his wife, Linda, of Grove City, and Amy L. McMahan of Harrisville; three sisters, Maxie Harrigan of Freeport, Vonnie Herald and her husband, Fred, of South Carolina and Grace Ravotti of Freeport; one brother, Lynn Busatto of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Daniel Dean Busatto, Amy Trezona, Deana Phelan, Adam McMahan and Briana McMahan; and four great-grandchildren, Luciano Trezona, Marcello Trezona, Vicenzo Trezona and Noelle Phalen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

<B>BUSATTO</B> — Friends of A. Dean Busatto, who died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville Sandy Lake Road, Stoneboro, with the Rev. Timothy Clark, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in the Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
