Butler, Helmstaedter
Ashley Butler and Michael Helmstaedter, both of Butler, were united in marriage Oct. 10 at the Dreams Resort and Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. A reception followed Oct. 17 at the American Legion in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Edgar and Carol Butler of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Paul Helmstaedter of Pittsburgh and Lorraine Vinski of Butler.
The honor attendant was Amber Butler of Butler. Bridesmaids included Kelly Christie of Cabot, Cassie Wood of East Butler, Carla Cox of Mars, Katie Decker of Butler, Gina Butler of Butler, Anna Flick of Fenelton, April Vogel of West Sunbury and Abby Flick of Butler. The flower girls were Hannah Aldridge and Mackenzie Decker, both of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Craig Helmstaedter of Butler. Ushers included Phill Bosel of Cabot, Mike Cranmer of Butler, Eddie Butler of Butler, Jason Butler of Butler, Joshua Wood of East Butler and Joshua Christie of Cabot. The ring bearer was Landon Christie of Cabot.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Butler High School and a 2008 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She is employed by AAA in Cranberry Township.
The bridegroom graduated in 2003 from Butler High School. He is employed as a manager at Lowe's in Monroeville.
The couple is making their home in Butler.
