The

Butler A.M. Rotary Club recently completed three community service projects.The A.M. Rotarians, family members and students from the National Honor Society at Butler High School on Oct. 31 removed the plants from the flower gardens at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and New Castle Road in Butler.Upon completion, the Rotarians went to the intersection of routes 68, 28 and 422 to perform highway cleanup tasks on the on and off ramps. Both projects are ongoing.Members also participated in the 50th annual Pancake Festival to benefit Lifesteps on Nov. 3. Rotarians prepared and served pancakes and sausage to hundreds of residents at the traditional Election Day event.———The H. William Knab Scholarship Memorial Fund awarded scholarships to

Phillip Adams of Aspinwall, a student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, and

Justin Bethold of Pittsburgh, a student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla.The scholarship program accepts applications from students in their third or fourth year of medical school and awards funds based on submitted essays.The award is named in memory of Dr. H.
