Eleanor D. Buss, 83, of Saxonburg died Thursday at her home.

Born July 7, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Paul and Anna Schmidt Galbraith.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg, the Saxonburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star in Freeport.

She had more than 5,000 hours as a volunteer at VA Butler Healthcare.

Surviving are her husband, Robert H. Buss, who she married June 1, 1946; three sons, Robert P. Buss of Leechburg, David C. Buss of Cabot and James D. Buss of Saxonburg; her sister, Margaret Dods of Lansing, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Paul Galbraith; and a sister, Gloria Galbraith.

<B>BUSS</B> — Friends of Eleanor D. Buss, who died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Keller officiating.
