Jack V. Laughner
Jack V. Laughner, 91, died Tuesday evening at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clearfield. He formerly was of Mount Chestnut.
He was born May 26, 1918, and was the son of John and Buena Grossman Laughner.
He retired as a machinist from Castle Rubber after 35 years.
He served his community for many years on the Slippery Rock School Board and for 26 years as a Franklin Township supervisor.
Mr. Laughner was active at the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, and he was on the building committee, where he helped design the present church.
He was an Army Air Force World War II veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Edward Laughner of Akron, Ohio, and Richard P. (Esta Mae) Laughner of Butler; and one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Margaret) Martz of Port Matilda, Centre County. He also is survived by four grandchildren, Emily and Allison Martz and Jamie and Jesse Laughner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jerry Laughner, who died June 25, 2000; one brother, and one sister.

Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Curtis, his church pastor, officiating.
