Shirley L. Grosick
Shirley L. Grosick, 74, of Marshall Township, Baden, died Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township after and long and courageous battle with her illness.
Born in Aliquippa on Oct. 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Arlington "Art" and Pearl Mercer Morris.
A homemaker, Mrs. Grosick was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Wexford.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond E. Grosick, who she married July 11, 1953; her daughters, Maria Mankie (Paul) of Ross Township and Laura Grosick (Paul) Donnelly of Toronto, Canada; and her grandson, Michael Mankie. Also surviving are two sisters, Sharon and Karen Morris, both of Freedom; four brothers, Wayne Morris (Marilyn) of Leesburg, Fla., Chuck Morris (Janet) of Aliquippa and Bob and Duane Morris (Cindy), both of Bell Acres; and nieces and nephews.
<B>GROSICK </B>— Friends of Shirley L. Grosick, who died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in the St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Wexford with the Rev. Peter Murphy, pastor, officiating.
