Roy W. Davidson, 70, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Sept. 26 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born June 28, 1939, in Tyrone, Blair County, he was the son of the late Roy and Virginia Davidson of Zelienople.

Roy graduated from Zelienople High School in 1957 and served in the Navy from 1959 to 1962.

Upon leaving the military, Roy made his home in Jacksonville, where he retired from the Naval Exchange.

He is survived by three sisters, Shirley Ray of Portersville, Helen West of Greensboro, Ga., and Valinda Morton of Eatonton, Ga.; and a brother, Joseph Richard Davidson of Butler.
