Wilma E. Fogel, 85, of Butler died Monday at the Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.

She was born July 27, 1924, in Slippery Rock, a daughter of the late Paul Emory Saniga and Johanna Anna Mocker Saniga.

Mrs. Fogel was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, and she was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She also was a volunteer for Lifeline of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Wilma's husband, Edwin K. Fogel, who she married Sept. 22, 1947, preceded her in death Sept. 8, 2002. Three brothers and six sisters also preceded her.

Surviving are four sons and their wives, Dennis R. Fogel and Mary Savoyard-Fogel of Shelby Township, Mich., Donald B. and Molly Fogel of Sewickley, Daniel P. Fogel and Pam Covin-Fogel of Stratford, N.J., and Douglas K. Fogel of Chillicothe, Ohio; four daughters and their husbands, Barbara and J. Randall Grespin of Hershey, Lisa and Todd Patterson of Williamsville, N.Y., Janine and Joseph Paschal of West Linn, Ore., and Renee and Michael Laffin of Allison Park; one brother and his wife, George and Virginia Saniga of Penn Hills; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

<B>FOGEL </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Wilma E. Fogel, who died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler with Father Regis Farmer, pastor of St. Catherine Church in Wildwood, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Peter Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter Parish will meet at 10:35 a.m. Friday at the church to recite the rosary.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler Ambulance Association.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
