A. Jean Sellers

A. Jean Sellers, 79, of Smethport died Sunday in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford.

She was born Sept. 24, 1930, in Hilliards, a daughter of William G. and Miriam Ferguson Cupples.

On May 6, 1949, in Petrolia, she married James L. Sellers Sr., who died May 23, 2003.

Mrs. Sellers was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and worked for the Backus Co. of Smethport for many years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Smethport, the Nurture Committee and the Sena Kean Volunteers and was a volunteer at the Pink Elephant of Smethport.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Sellers of Smethport and Deborah (Jerome) Dragoone of Glenshaw; one son, James L. Sellers Jr. of Smethport; grandchildren, Jerome Dragoone Jr., Jonathan Dragoone and Brittany Dragoone; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tristan and Brooklynn; and two sisters: Louise Hilliards and Margaret Hilliards of Hilliards.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother and 1 sister.

<B>SELLERS</B> — Visitation for A. Jean Sellers, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc</B>., 2 Bank St., Smethport, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Bob George, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Smethport, officiating.
