Carol Haseltine Brophy, 81, of New Port Richey, Fla., passed away Sept. 27 under the care of the Hernando Pasco Hospice.

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ernest J.

She is survived by her son, Brock and his wife, Cathrene; a granddaughter, Jennifer; a grandson, Simon and his wife, Rebecca; and great-granddaughter, Abigail, all of Christ Church, New Zealand.

She graduated from Butler High School and was the valedictorian of her January 1946 graduating class.

Carol had a deep faith in God and knew she was going to Heaven, not because she was good, but because she accepted Christ's payment for her sins.

She enjoyed teaching Bible classes in Heritage Lake Village and at her church, First Baptist Church of New Port Richey.
