The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has provided this report on the Oct. 12 Eighty Four Livestock Auction.

Due to cutbacks in the state budget, the PDA is unable to provide reports for the New Wilmington and Mercer auctions.

CATTLE 404

Holstein steers — Select 1-2, 1360-1405 lbs., 61.00-63.50.

Cows — Breakers, 75-80 percent lean, 44.-48.50; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 37.-38.; lean, 85-90 percent lean, 31.—38.

Bulls — Yield grade 1, 52.-53.50; yield grade 2, 42.—49.

Feeder cattle — Steers — 300-500 lbs., 82.-102.; 600-800 lbs., 62.—74. Heifers — 300-500 lbs., 73.-89.; 600-800 lbs., 55.-73.50. Bulls — 300-500 lbs., 79.-99.; 600-800 lbs., 49.—61.

CALVES 73

Farm calves — No. 1, Holstein bulls, 95-120 lbs., 70.-95.; No. 2, Holstein Bulls 80-105 lbs., 40.—65.
