Campbell

Catherine Ann (Luckenbill) Campbell, 57, of Jordan Hollow Road, Perry Township, Clarion County, went to be with the Lord at 3:54 a.m. Friday at UPMC Northwest shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.

Born March 29, 1952, in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Joseph) Luckenbill.

She was a 1970 graduate of Blue Mountain High School in Orwigsburg. She graduated from United Wesleyan College in Allentown in 1972 with an Associate of Science degree.

Cathy was married Aug. 12, 1972, in the Reedsville Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church to the Rev. Charles Campbell, who survives.

During her lifetime, she fulfilled many roles as a pastor's wife, working with her husband for five years at the Wesleyan Church in Penn Run, and for 21 years at New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church in Emlenton.

As a teenager, she served as president of the local Christian Endeavor, giving her the opportunity to provide devotionals for a women's prison ministry. She was also a member of the Rainbow Girls at Cressona Lodge.

Cathy enjoyed cooking and baking, going to yard sales and she especially loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. For several years she volunteered as an EMT with the Perry Township Volunteer Ambulance.

As a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins fan, she rarely missed watching a game on TV, and was excited to attend several games.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Carolyn Cross of Grove City and Christopher Campbell and his wife, Kathryn, of Raleigh, N.C.; two grandchildren, Laura Cross and Brandon Cross of Grove City; four brothers, Richard Luckenbill and his wife, Eileen, of Carlisle, Thomas Luckenbill and his wife, Diane, Daniel Luckenbill and his wife, Joan, and Stephen Luckenbill, all of Schuylkill Haven; and a sister, Sandra Hess and her husband, Gary, also of Schuylkill Haven. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Luckenbill Jr.

<B>Campbell</B> — Friends Catherine Ann Campbell of Jordan Hollow Road, who died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Hile Funeral Home</B>, 1204 Kerr Avenue, Emlenton. There will be no viewing at the church.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 1195 Airport Road, Emlenton, with the Rev. Gary Brown, Conference Minister of the Great Lakes Region of the Evangelical Congregational Church, officiating. A service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in her home church, Reedsville Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church, 155 Reedsville Road, Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. Kevin Leibensperger, Bishop of the Evangelical Congregational Denomination, presiding.
