Robert C. Emerick
Robert C. Emerick, 91, of Shelborne Assisted Living in Penn Township, formerly of Mars, died Tuesday morning at Shelborne.
He was born in Crab Tree, Pa., Feb. 8, 1918.
Mr. Emerick was a mail room supervisor for the J&L Steel Corp., in downtown Pittsburgh. After retiring from J&L, he drove school buses for A.J. Myers and Son for the Mars and Seneca Valley schools for 20 years.
He attended the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Mars American Legion and the Mars VFW Post 7505.
He was a member and past master of the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM. He also was a member of the Mars Volunteer Fire Department for years.
Surviving are his wife, Marion Woodling Emerick, who he married July 23, 1948; his sons, Alan C. Emerick, and his wife, Janet, of Butler and David W. Emerick of Tarentum; four grandchildren, James T. Emerick, William A. Emerick, Sarah Essary and Michael D. Emerick; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Jackson and Chase Emerick.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Albert Semler, pastor of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
