Allen

Lawrence "Lea" Allen of Estero, Fla., died Aug. 16.

Born June 9, 1932, in Slippery Rock, he was the son of the late Gideon and Anna McNeish Allen.

He was a 1951 graduate of West Sunbury High School, where he played baseball.

Mr. Allen was a master mason and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He served in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Bauder Allen, in December 2007; a granddaughter, Brandie Schramm in July 2007; and siblings, Richard, Robert, Pearl, Marie and Earl.

Surviving are his children, Barbara, Kim and Larry; five grandchildren; siblings, Rose (Jim) Karenbauer, Norma (Don) Cuffman and Sara (Bill) Schultz, all of Butler, Dale (Lucy) of Florida and C. Fred (Barb) of Slippery Rock.
