Dennis Wayne Engle, 65, of Branford, Fla., formerly of Butler, died unexpectedly July 23 at Royal Springs in Obrien, Fla.

He was born in Butler, March 2, 1944, a son of Edgar Eugene and Mae Jeanette Wellner Engle.

He moved to Florida and has lived there for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sheehan Engle, his daughter, Monya Grace Engle, and his granddaughter, Tayannah Bree Engle, all of Branford; as well as brothers, Roger Engle of Knox, Fred Engle of Butler, Albert Engle of Soller, Mallorca, Spain, and Edgar Engle of Waxhaw, N.C.; and sisters, Carol Ietto of Butler, Susan Driscoll of Green Mountain, N.C., and Kristin Engle of Cross City, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Saundra Lee Engle, who died Dec. 8, 1970.

<B>ENGLE</B> — A private ceremony for Dennis Wayne Engle, who died Thursday, July 23, 2009, is planned for early October in Butler. He was cremated in Florida.
