James Perry Stewart
James Perry Stewart, 79, of Butler died at 10:58 a.m. Friday at Kindred Hospital, Oakland.
Born Sept. 8, 1929, in Butler, he was the son of the late George W. Stewart and the late Audrey Mae (Graham) Stewart.
He retired from CT Dumbaugh where he was a stone mason, and he had worked for Regis Etzel. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department and a life member of the Happy Hunters Club.
Surviving are a son, James P. (Jackie) Stewart Jr. of Kennerdale; two grandsons, James P. (Becca) Stewart III of Kennerdale and Bryan Stewart of Clintonville; five great-grandchildren, James P. Stewart IV, Madison Stewart, Robert Rossman, Marcus Courtney, and J.J. Courtney; and a sister, Florence Critchlow of Utah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Felix) Stewart, and a granddaughter, Heather Stewart.
<B>STEWART</B> — Friends of James Perry Stewart, who died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brent McMasters officiating.
