Russell Trent Miller

Russell Trent Miller, 89, of Renfrew, formerly of North Hills/Pittsburgh, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday at the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born in Pittsburgh, June 14, 1920, he was the son of Henry Miller and Mae Schrader Miller.

Mr. Miller was a real estate broker and salesman for Ryan Homes-Eddy Homes and retired in 1984.

He was a member of the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church.

Before his illness, he enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He graduated from Perry High School in Pittsburgh in 1939.

He served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Regiment during World War II, mainly in Germany and Northern France and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Elaine (Rhodes) Miller, who he married Oct. 3, 1964; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Trudy Miller of Pittsburgh; three nephews, Vernon H. Miller Jr., Brandon R. Miller and Carter C. Miller; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

<B>MILLER</B> — Friends of Russell Trent Miller, who died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Curtis of the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church officiating.
