Thompson, Dufresne
Raylene Thompson and Chadd Dufresne, both of Silver Spring, Md., were united in marriage July 25 at St. Vincent DePaul Chapel at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. The Rev. Robert Schlageter officiated. A reception followed at the Ballroom at the Catholic University of America.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Mary Ann Thompson of Harmony. Parents of the bridegroom are Dixy and Raymond Dufresne of Norwood, N.Y.
The honor attendant was Erin Hamilton of Evans City. Bridesmaids included Michele Tibor of Norwalk, Conn., and Melissa Cwiertniewicz of Washington, D.C. The flower girl was Lilly Magill Kennedy of Charlotte, N.C.
Performing the duties of best man was Shamaar Connors of Pocomoke City, Md. Ushers included Joe Potempa of Jessup, Md., Chris Ortiz of Weehawken, N.J., and Mike Thompson of Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 1999 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She is employed by the Catholic University of America as manager of learning environments and project development.
The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Norwood Norfolk Central School. He is employed by the Catholic University of America as a system administrator.
Following a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple is making their home in Silver Spring, Md.
