Wilbur Roy Rape, 79, of Zelienople, was called home on Friday as a result of complications from diabetes.

He arrived on Earth March 17, 1930, the son of the late Roy H. and Mildred (Lauten) Rape. He was born on the family farm outside of Zelienople and remained there his entire life.

He worked alongside his parents as a self-sustaining farmer, raising cows, pigs and chickens. He also had jobs as a truck driver and a mill worker.

He was married in 1950 to Suzie Malloy, and they raised three children together.

He enjoyed the ocean, cutting grass and driving places. He also loved tractors, nice cars, pie and most of all, his family.

He was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church and received God as his Savior. He gave his family a good life and he will be in their loving memories forever.

Surviving are three children, Don Rape of Zelienople, Susan Franz and her husband Bob of Harmony and Cathy Rape of Harmony; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Bill, Lindsay, Steve, Sean, Isaac and Sara; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Raelene Kay (Rader) Rape.

<B>RAPE</B> — Friends of Wilbur Roy Rape, who died Friday, July 31, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti, his church pastor, officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the church.
