Anna M. Hurd
Anna M. Hurd, 83, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Rossiter, died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Ligonier, the daughter of the late George and Ellen (Stouffer) Manges.
She served as a sergeant in World War II along with her two brothers, Kern and Stouffer.
She attended college at Biarritz American University.
Surviving are two sons, Rex E. Hurd Jr. of Hillards and George R. Hurd of Chambersburg, and two sisters, Evelyn Huey of Indiana and Minnie Stiver of Bradford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex E. Hurd Sr.; her parents, and three brothers, Kern, Stouffer and George Manges.
