Freshman Brett Rinker shot a 1-over-par 73 to win medalist honors and to lead the Slippery Rock High golf team to a second-place finish at the District 10, Region 2 megamatch Monday.

The Rockets lost out to Hickory by a tiebreaker, but remained tied for No. 1 in the region with Grove City after two weeks.

Grove City's Camden Palmer finished one stroke behind Rinker.
