Jones

Florence M. Jones, 79, of Butler died Saturday morning at her home.

Born March 4, 1930, in Butler, she was the daughter of Arthur Leroy and Sarra Jane Wigley Rice.

She was a protestant.

She was a former 4-H leader in Butler, and she was an avid bowler.

She was a home care nurse aide in the Butler area for many years, as well as a department manager in the photo etching department for Magnetics in Butler.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Connie) Griffin of Prospect; a son, Leo "David" Jones of Evans City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her husband Clyde Richard "Dick" Jones, whom she married Dec. 14, 1947, and who died Sept. 20, 1999. Also preceding her in death was a son, Clyde Richard Jones Jr.; a sister, Dorothy Ihlenfeld; and a brother, Arthur Loyal Rice.

Jones, who died Saturday, July 25, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Spiker of Kittanning officiating.Burial will be at Greenlaw Burial Estates in Butler.
