Donald Ray Patterson
Donald Ray Patterson, 50, of Slippery Rock, died at 4 a.m. Friday at the Butler Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 9, 1959, in Lowell, Mass., the son of Caro Alvin Patterson and Jeanne Yolanda Beyer.
He graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1977.
He had been employed for six years at Capital Asset Protection Service, working at Robinson Industries, Zelienople, as a Security Officer. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at the Days Inn in Butler and six years for Marrett Carpet Company in Volant.
Survivors include his mother, Jeanne Patterson of Grove City; one brother, Eric S. (Michelle) Patterson of Portersville; one niece, Melissa Patterson of Portersville and a maternal grandmother, Frances E. Beyer of Wooster, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Linda K.; his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.
<B>PATTERSON</B> — A service will be held for Donald Ray Patterson, who died Friday, July 24, 2009, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Baptist Church, Worth Township, with the Rev. Thomas Memling, pastor of the church, presiding.
