Barbara A. Turcovsky
Barbara A. Turcovsky, 75, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Wednesday evening at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh from injuries received in a fall at her home.
Born May 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Allader and Katherine Frankwich Zebner.
Mrs. Turcovsky was a secretary and notary public at her family's business, Nursery Park Gulf, in Middlesex Township.
A member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills, she had belonged to the Parent Teacher Guild of the church.
She wrote articles for the Middlesex Monitor. She was a member of the Mars High Athletic Boosters, the Southern Butler County Women's Club and the Butler County Pilot's Association. She was a reiki master and member of the Rosicrucian Order in San Jose, Calif., and the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach. Mrs. Turcovsky was a volunteer for the Butler VNA Hospice.
She enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are her husband, Bernard J. "Bernie" Turcovsky, who she married April 17, 1951; a daughter, Carol Marie Scott of Butler Township; and a son, James "Jim" Turcovsky of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and was the grandmother of Danielle and Michael Turcovsky and Steven and Christopher Scott. She was the sister-in-law of Flo and Jim Bacho of Middlesex Township and Daniel and Diane Turcovsky of Holidaysburg. She also is survived by nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, "Freddie."

Turcovsky, who died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, Route 8, Glade Mills, with Father Albert Semler, pastor, officiating.
