Vera G. (Myers) Nebel
Vera G. (Myers) Nebel, 91, of Suffield, Conn., formerly of Butler, wife of the late Francis A. Nebel, died Thursday, June 4, at a nursing home in Longmeadow, Mass.
Born Feb. 4, 1918, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Bertha May (Stoops) Myers.
Vera was a 1936 graduate of Butler High School and worked at the W.T. Grant store in Butler, where she met her future husband. They were married June 3, 1938.
The family lived in Van Wert, Ohio; Piscataway, N.J., and Windsor Locks, Conn., and moved to Suffield in 1973.
Vera and her husband operated the hobby store, Kits & Krafts, in the Suffield Village.
Vera was a kind, loving woman who will be greatly missed by all.
She leaves sons, Philip Nebel and his wife, Jean, of Independence, Ky., and Kenneth Nebel and his wife, Deborah, of Suffield; daughters, Jean Metcalfe of Kaysville, Utah, and Kathryn Murri and her husband, Thomas, of Northampton, Mass.; sisters, Lois Panei and Bonnie Gomori, both of Butler; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Myers; and three sisters, Virginia Scarpitti, Edith Guentner and Norma Espy.
