Martha T. Keck
Martha T. Keck, 91, of North Monroe Street died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at her son’s home.
Born July 8, 1918, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late John E. Tollen and the late Esther Enstrom Tollen.
Mrs. Keck was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She graduated from Butler High School in 1937. Mrs. Keck was a secretary for Armco Steel and Pullman Standard.
She was a former member of the Armco Golf Club and the Armco Women’s Club. Mrs. Keck also was the former secretary for the Butler Sesquicentennial. She was a life member of the Maqueda Chapter 421 Order of the Eastern Star and a life member of the Good Samaritan Shrine-White Shrine of Jerusalem 32.
Mrs. Keck is survived by her son, John R. Keck and his wife, Debbie, of Butler; one granddaughter, Emily Keck of Butler; three nephews; and one niece.
Mrs. Keck was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold A. Keck, who she married Nov. 19, 1948, and who passed away April 21, 2008; and by two sisters.
KECK — Friends of Martha T. Keck, who died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
