Gillott

Eleanor A. Gillott, 84, of Butler died Monday evening at the Parker Personal Care Home.

Born Sept. 19, 1924, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Emerick and Anna (Petch) Isovitsch.

She was a graduate of Butler High School and was head cashier for the A&P store in Butler for 39 years until that store closed in 1979. After that, she worked at the Alameda Tea Co. until 1981 when she retired.

Eleanor was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler and also belonged to the Women's Council of St. Peter and the Women of the Moose, where she also was in the College of Regents.

Surviving are her brother, George Isovitsch and his wife, Helen, of Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Gillott, whom she married March 3, 1962. He died Aug. 9, 1981. She also was preceded by six brothers, Frank, Emerick, Joseph, Rudolph and twins Richard and David Isovitsch; and six sisters, Peggy Bohan, Helen Sub, Rose Isovitsch, Anna Montleone, Pauline Telenson and Dorothy Pakutz.

<B>Gillott</B> — Friends of Eleanor A. Gillott, who died Monday, July 6, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The Rev. James Dolan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 9:40 a.m. Friday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
