William Artman
William Artman, 71, of Buffalo Township passed away at 9:50 p.m. Monday while in the company of family members at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, Jefferson Township.
William was born in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, July 16, 1937, the son of the late Everett Artman and Mildred (Lye) Artman, who survives him of Buffalo Township.
Mr. Artman was a truck driver for Don Martin Trucking for more than 40 years, retiring in 2000. He worked for Tesone Trucking and Freeport Transport as well.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sarver.
Mr. Artman was a member of the Jefferson County Rod and Gun Club for more than 45 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, hunting and being with his family and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva (McCain) Artman; his son, William (Brenda) Artman Jr. of Prospect; three daughters, Belinda Thompson of Natrona Heights, Gena Kopnicky of Winfield, Township and Lori Artman of Buffalo Township; a sister, Vivian (Jim) Beers of Buffalo Township; and his brother, Jim (Sarah) Artman of Parks Township. Mr. Artman also is survived by his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa Janoski.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Emery Barnett officiating.
