Deborah A. Mendoza
Deborah A. Mendoza, 39, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Long Island, N.Y., Jan. 5, 1970, she is the daughter of John and Sondra (Huss) Green of Butler.
Mrs. Mendoza was a teacher at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School in Coraopolis, where she taught drama.
She attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, where she received her bachelor's degree in arts, English literature and drama and was awarded the 1998 All Star Educator of the Year.
She enjoyed the theater and had participated in several plays.
She was a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
Surviving are her husband, J. Robert Mendoza, who she married May 22, 1993. She was the loving mother of Christiana E., 13; Rachel T., 12; Rebekah M., 10; and John Peter R., 3. She was the daughter of John and Sondra (Huss) Green of Butler; paternal granddaughter of Ed and Mary Green of Dallas, Texas; sister of Christina J. Stark and her husband, Matt, of Yosemite, Calif.; aunt of Henry (godson) and Hannah Stark; daughter-in-law of Pete and Del Mendoza of Woodside, N.Y., and Franklin Park; sister-in-law of Aleli Coniker and her husband, Joseph, of Franklin Park; and aunt of Mariana, Brendan (godson), Brian, Daniela and Ben Coniker.
