Robinson

Paul F. Robinson, 82, of Bradys Bend died Tuesday at Clarview Rest Home in Sligo.

Born Nov. 20, 1926, in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of Donald S. and Edna G. (McGrady) Robinson.

He enjoyed hunting, stock car racing and working on antique cars.

He served as a Seaman Second Class in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. He was the recipient of an American Campaign Medal, a World War II Victory Medal and an Honorable Service Lapel Button.

He worked at Rex-Hide in East Brady, Michigan Limestone Mine in Bradys Bend, Pullman Standard in Butler as an inspector, and Kittanning Lincoln Mercury and Yigling Ford in Emlenton as an auto mechanic.

He was owner/operator of Robinson Quaker State Garage in East Brady and of Robinson's Garage and Tire in Bradys Bend.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 488-Bradys Bend. He held the office of Post Commander 12 times as well as many other offices. He reorganized the Posts' Honor Guard from 1980-1981 and was awarded the American Legion Post Commander of the Year in 1985 as well as the National Award in that same year.

He attended the Trinity Church in Bradys Bend.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. (Gay) Robinson of Bradys Bend, whom he married Feb. 11, 2006; two sons, Paul F. Robinson Jr. of East Brady and Barry L. Robinson and his wife, Kathy, of Bradys Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Katherine) Boal of Fenelton; a brother, Stewart Robinson of Chicora; a sister, Mrs. Jerry (Margaret) Foster of Lake Park, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores V. (Silvis) Robinson, whom he married Aug. 12, 1950, and who died June 4, 1997; and by four brothers.

<B>ROBINSON</B> — Friends of Paul F. Robinson, who died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Pete Sapp, pastor of Trinity Church in Bradys Bend, will officiate.Burial will be at Bradys Bend Cemetery, Bradys Bend.The American Legion Post 488 will have a service at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home and will have graveside honors in the cemetery Saturday.
