Marlene G. Davis

Marlene G. (Oswald) Davis, 73, of Hampton Township died Sunday in UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

She was born May 30, 1936, in Pittsburgh, to the late William and the late Philomena (Diehl) Oswald.

Marlene was a baker for more than 21 years at the Hampton High School Cafeteria and loved cooking and baking for her family and friends as well.

Marlene enjoyed any activity that included her family. She loved shopping for others and was a very giving and generous person. She took great pleasure in birdwatching and was particularly fond of eagles and hummingbirds.

Marlene was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Orvis A. Davis of Hampton Township; her children, Lynn (Jeff) Haffely of Richland Township, Orvis (Lorry) Davis III of Hampton Township, Ronald (JoAnne) Davis of Slippery Rock, Shawn (Gretchen) Davis of Butler, James (Jerri) Davis of Hampton Township and Robyn (David) Kozlowski of Hampton Township; grandchildren, Autumn, Amber, Orvie IV, Ashley, Abby, Holly, Shawn, McKenzie, Von, Jozie, Jimmy, Jaxon and Jayden Davis, Lisa and Gary Haffely and Ryan and Emily Kozlowski; great-grandchildren, Davis Addison, Owen, Sheyenne, Alhana, Kadance, Karyle and Jocelyn; and sisters, Alice Mader of Idaho, Dorie Broker of West Deer Township, Elsie Klinger of West Deer Township and Edna Bernet of Richland Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Kirin; and her brothers, William, Ray, Harry and Jack Oswald.

<B>DAVIS </B>— Visitation for Marlene G. (Oswald) Davis, who died Sunday, June 21, 2009, will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Herbert R. King Jr. Funeral Home</B>, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church, 2554 Wildwood Road, Wildwood, with Father Regis Farmer officiating. (Please meet at the church Thursday morning.)
