Jean Davis Santus

Jean Davis Santus (née Shoemaker), 87, of Falls Township, died Friday.

She was born in Saxonburg and was a resident of Fairless Hills since 1953.

She was a graduate of Butler High School, Slippery Rock University and Penn State University.

Until her retirement in 1981, she was a teacher in the Pennsbury School District and formerly taught in West Winfield and Allison Park.

She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.

She was the wife of the late John P. Santus and the late Harold L. Davis.

She was the loving mother of Larry K. Davis and his wife, Gale, of Downingtown and Vance L. Davis and his wife, Darlene, of Levittown. She also will be sadly missed by six grandchildren, Caitlin, Rachel and Virginia Davis and Sarah Jean, Peter and Leah Davis; one sister, Alice Johnston of Orange City, Fla.; one brother, George Daniel Shoemaker of N. Royalton, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Shoemaker and George David Shoemaker Jr.; and her sister, Elizabeth Shoemaker.

<B>SANTUS</B> — Family and friends of Jean Davis Santus, who died Friday, June 19, 2009, are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Northminster Presbyterian Church, 140 Trenton Road, Fairless Hills, where friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment is private. Arrangements are under the direction of the <B>James J. Dougherty Funeral Home</B>, Levittown.In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Pennsbury Scholarship Fund, c/o Pennsbury Administration Bldg., 134 Yardley Ave., Fallsington, PA 19058.
