Robert L. Bowser
Robert L. Bowser, 79, of Kittanning, Armstrong County, died Sunday at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born Aug. 26, 1929, in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, to Clem and Pearl (Hetrick) Bowser.
Mr. Bowser was a member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren.
He was the owner and operator of Bowser's General Hauling for 35 years and was previously employed with L & E Construction as a heavy equipment operator for 10 years.
Bob served in the U.S. Army as a corporal.
He was a frequent vendor at flea markets and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his niece, Elaine Ruth and her husband, Dale, of Fenelton; and also other numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosie B. (Morelli) Bowser, who he married Oct. 23, 1948, and who died Oct. 2, 2002; four brothers, Floyd, Francis, Reynolds and Dale Bowser; and six sisters, Twila Bowser, Alberta Fritz, Inez Kensinger, Dorothy Bartony, Ruby Boarts and Gladys Hetrick.
<B>BOWSER</B> — The family of Robert L. Bowser, who died Sunday, June 14, 2009, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Bauer Funeral Home</B>, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Wesley Berkebile officiating.
