Laura Violet Meyers, 89, of Evans City died Sunday at the Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony.

She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Muddy Creek Township and was the daughter of James H. and Alda Stephenson Kelley.

She was a Protestant and was retired from the dietary department at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Craig (Linda) Mitchell of Hawaii; two sons, John Meyers of Portersville and Jim Meyers of Evans City; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Meyers; a daughter, Lois Lynch; and two brothers, Ed Kelley and Art Kelley.

<B>MEYERS</B> — Visitation for Laura Violet Meyers, who died Sunday, June 14, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dominick Scargino officiating Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.
