James R. Walker

James R. Walker, 82, of Renfrew passed away at 9 p.m. June 5 at his home.

He was born April 10, 1927, in Johnstown, the son of the late Walter Walker and the late Della Mae (Redick) Walker.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and Army.

Mr. Walker was a member of the Methodist Church of Connoquenessing.

He was a retired accountant at Armco Steel.

Surviving are his niece and caregiver, Charlann Plunkett; his granddaughter, Lanea and her husband, Bryan Gilmore, of Saxonburg; three great-granddaughters; a number of nieces and nephews; and his sister, Eleanor Croyle of Sewickley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel J. Walker, who died Dec. 9, 2004; two sisters, Marjorie Riggleman and Dorothy Bowser; and a stepson, Gary Miller.

<B>WALKER</B> — Services for James R. Walker, who died Friday, June 5, 2009, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Butler County Memorial Park with the Rev. David Panther of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be private.Arrangements are by the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler.
